ENOUGH TO MAKE SHAKESPEARE ‘TWIST AND SHOUT’
THE BEATLES were last night rehearsing for an Independent Television show during which they will perform an excerpt from SHAKESPEARE’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, with their own additional dialogue. The result is enough to make SHAKESPEARE ‘Twist and Shout’ in his grave.
PHOTO SHOWS: The Shakespearean BEATLES (left to right) PAUL McCARTNEY as ‘Bottom’; GEORGE HARRISON as ‘Moonshine’; JOHN LENNON as ‘Thisbe’, and RINGO STARR as ‘The Lion’. The man in the centre is ANDRE TAYLOR who represents a brick wall.
