Beatles’ manager Allen Klein has been taking more money than he should from the pop group’s enormous earnings, it was alleged in the High Court today by Mr David Hirst, Q.C. Paul McCartney, who is seeking an order breaking up with the Beatles, sat in the front of the court with his wife, Linda, as Mr. Hirst, his counsel, told Mr Justice Stamp: ‘Mr. Klein cannot be trusted with the stewardship of the partnership, property and assets’. He went on: ‘Mr. Klein has paid himself commission to which he is not entitled and is asserting an entitlement to even more.’
