The title in taken from the dedication written in pen by Francesca Woodman on the front. When the photograph was reprinted from the negative after Francesca Woodman’s death, it was rototed 180°, with Francesca Woodman’s body at the bottom of the picture: This version, catalague as Rome, May-August 1978. also appears in Francesca Woodman’s exhibition catalogue published by the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain, Paris 1998 (p.10). Splater Plaint (p. 109, Cartier) is part of this same cycle compositions.
