1977 gelatin silver print: cm.18×24 (image cm.9,5×9,5×12).
The portrait was supposed to go into the young actress Mirella’s ‘book’. Mirella was Francesca Woddman’s friend and at the time Giuseppe Casetti’s wife. The portrait, however, turned out to be unsuitable for the ‘book’ and so Francesca took a series of more trditional pictures : Shots for Mirella. On the back, a letter with a green ink drawing by Francesca Woodman. The drawing is of a mermaid swimming in the sea. At the bottom of the page there’s a red lipstick print of Francesca Woddma’s kiss.
